If you are comparing ways to pay for dental care, start with your expected visits and the actual plan terms. This article originally appeared as an August update; the Village Dental membership page is the maintained source for current fees, inclusions and exclusions.
What to compare before enrolling
Ask the office which plan fits the care recommended at your examination. A routine-cleaning plan and a periodontal-maintenance plan address different needs. Confirm the recurring dues as well as any charges for treatment outside the included services.
- Which examinations, cleanings and images are included?
- Which treatments receive a discount, and which are excluded?
- How do renewal, cancellation and payment timing work?
- Can membership be combined with an offer or existing insurance?
Separate included care from discounted treatment
A discount does not make a treatment free. Request a written estimate that identifies included services, the applicable reduction and your expected payment. Use the current plan terms rather than an older article’s price table when comparing your choices.
If you already have insurance
Do not assume every PPO plan is in network. Ask the insurer and your chosen office to verify the exact plan, provider and location. The insurance guide explains the difference between accepting insurance and network participation.
Plan your visit at a convenient office
Compare our four offices in Olde Raleigh, North Raleigh, Brier Creek and Wake Forest. Confirm appointment availability and discuss your concerns before booking. If you are new to the practice, review the new-patient information and ask which options apply to your visit.
Contact the office for the current membership agreement and an estimate based on your recommended care. That gives you a clearer basis for deciding than a promised savings figure without a treatment plan.
